Primary Domain - This is
the domain name that EFS accepts mail for. Generally this is the same
domain that your local mail server accepts mail for. The domain name is what makes EFS different than other forwarders - the ability to internally route mail dependant on your domain name.
You can read How EFS works to get a better understanding of why
your domain name is needed. This field is read only (shown in red) in the Advanced version (as EFS is licensed per domain)
VdA - (ADVANCED VERSION ONLY)
This stands for "Virtual Domain Alias". Use this setting if your Internet domain differs from your local domain.
EFS essentially aliases your entire Internet domain name to the local virtual
domain. Eg: If you specified a VdA domain of "local.com" and your
Internet domain was "mydomain.com", then if EFS found a message
addressed to "james@mydomain.com", the entire domain name would be
replaced with the VdA domain, in this example, EFS would essentially send the
message to "james@local.com" instead.
Accept mail for these secondary domains
- (ADVANCED VERSION ONLY) This is available for you to accept mail for up to
x additional domains (number depends on version). NOTE: Domains, NOT pop3 accounts! If you accept for multiple domains, you must consolidate them all to go to a single Pop3 account. These additional domains are FREE in the Advanced version. Use the Add and Delete buttons to add and remove domains as required. Double click the domain name from the list to Edit.
